What an incredible week!

What can I say? Wow! The response to Dragons' Den has been absolutely beyond anything I ever imagined.  I'm still working my way through the thousands of emails and responding to all the pre orders and questions you've asked me about VITILIGLOW™. Please bear with me and I promise to get back to you all. I have updated the FAQ's on my website so please check on there if you have any questions in the meantime.

It's been an emotional week for me since the show launched, not only being blown away by all the support, but by how so many people have opened up to me about the condition and how it makes them feel. Many people can and have accepted the loss of pigment to their skin, but I couldn't and felt I lost my confidence as the patches grew in size and number.

I am glad that opening up about my feelings on the show has helped other people to feel more positive. Many people told me that they were so pleased to find that a solution did exist, which was what I wanted to achieve.

One email that did catch my eye was from the producer of a Channel 4 TV show. They're looking for people with visual medical conditions including Vitiligo to raise awareness and see if the latest medical and cosmetic procedures can be used to treat and minimise certain conditions.

The show will be presented by Katie Piper, ambassador for Changing Faces. Katie, who has undergone numerous operations and procedures herself, will be mentoring all the participants.

The producer has asked me to take part in the show, which I'll do and I've offered to use my blog to see if anybody else is interested in taking part (you need to be aged 18 or over though).  I must say that opening up about the condition and how it makes me feel is something I usually feel really uncomfortable about. It's taken years for me to feel comfortable in my own skin again, but I am OK with putting myself out there if it raises awareness of Vitiligo.

If you are interested in taking part in the show, please contact me and I'll pass your details onto the producers.  I hope that the VITILIGLOW™ social media pages and blog can help to bring people with Vitiligo together, from those who are happy and confident to show their patches to those who want the support of others.  There's a lot of us out there with Vitiligo and I hope that, whatever you choose to do with your patches, you feel happy and confident in your own skin.

Best wishes
Polly

I started to develop Vitiligo when I was 18. I am 35 now. I have never been particularly bothered by it. I completely cover up, from head to toe during the summer, so I don't catch the sun due to a skin cancer scare 3 years ago, but as I have an olive skin tone, you can see the white patches on my face and body. I have never been particularly bothered by it, I am what I am. I have had the comments "Did you leave your ski mask on" (I have white patches surrounding my eyes) but I just laugh it off, I find it quite funny. It is only when I go to special events and I know people are going to take photos of me that I get worried and then all of the camouflage makeup comes out which usually involves a whole separate suitcase just for the amount of makeup products that I have to bring with me to match in with my skin tone!! Me being me, no two patches are the same tone, lol!!!, so I have to use all different colours to match in!!! Ironically the patch that really bothers me is the one on my ankle, I cant find any makeup that matches the tone appropriately and it is very noticeable when in a dress. I do get a spray tan, but it doesn't cover them sufficiently. My mum and dad saw the broadcast on Dragon's Den and they called me to tell me all about. I am so looking forward to trying your product out :-) and looking forward to packing just a makeup bag instead of a suitcase for my makeup :-) I wish you all the best with your venture xx

I'm just too happy that everything is in place for me now. I would gladly recommend the use of spell to any one going through marriage problems and want to put an end to it by emailing Dr Emu through emutemple@gmail.com and that was where I got the help to restore my marriage.
