I have had a busy few months working on Vitiliglow and spent a lot of last summer filming for a TV show called Too Ugly for Love on TLC. I appeared in the last two episodes of the series on the 11th and 18th February. I was approached to do the show because I wanted to raise awareness of Vitiligo and the affect it can have on self esteem and confidence, especially when you’re dating. I have always found it difficult meeting new people and deciding when to reveal my condition. I worry that people are judging me as a person based on my skin. Having Vitiligo really affects how I feel about myself and how confident I am. I know that it's personal choice, but for me, I prefer to have my patches covered up most of the time, especially now that 60% of my body is patchy. I feel much more 'like me' when I am wearing my product, Vitiliglow and the reason I developed it was to have a product that gave me my confidence back - and I want this to be available to as many people with the condition as possible. We all need to feel comfortable in our own skin and although an all body foundation might not suit everyone, I wanted people with Vitiligo to have a choice. So, back to the dating show. Although I didn't find love on air, I had a really good time and met some interesting people! It made me feel better about myself generally and about dating. It was a huge thing for me to show my patches to the nation as the majority of my friends haven't even seen them. You can find out more about the condition and Vitliglow on the TV show which is still available on Catch Up on TLC channel. Next time, I'll tell you about some of my experiences that were left on the cutting room floor! I'd love to hear what you think about the show, so comment below and email me to let me know what you think. Polly Creator of Vitiliglow
