My latest tips for patch-free looking skin

Now we've got the new formula of Vitiliglow™ ready in the medium shade, I thought it would be a good idea to share the blog post that I wrote last year so that you can get the best application possible with Vitiliglow™.  There are a few changes and updates to the original post to reflect the changes to the product, but in essence preparation is still important and the way you apply Vitiliglow™ hasn't fundamentally changed.  I do hope that you will all find the new product is easier to apply and the results are better than ever!

Preparation is key
Get everything ready before you start applying Vitiliglow™. Give yourself plenty of time as with any new product you are trying, it can take a few practice runs to get it right.  Make sure you are in the bathroom and have good lighting and have an old towel and some wet- wipes to hand so that you can wipe excess product off your palms and from your fingernails.

Applying Vitiliglow™
Once you’re ready, give the bottle of Vitiliglow™ a good shake then allow it to stand for a couple of minutes to settle, or alternatively loosen the top slightly to release the pressure.  Press the pump in to the palm of your hand or applicator sponge/brush (no more than the size of a 10p). A little goes a long way, so don’t put too much on and apply it in a thin layer to your white patches first, building up coverage with extra thin layers if needed then blend a little over the rest of the area of the body. Be careful going around joints such as knees and elbows, again apply it in thin, even layers.

Applying Vitiliglow™ to your face
When applying Vitiliglow™ to your face, I would recommend you moisturise normally before application.  You could use either an applicator sponge or again, your fingertips would work just fine.  Apply it to your white patches first in thin, even layers and continue until you achieve the desired result.  You may want to rub over your eyebrows with a cotton wool pad/bud to make sure that the product hasn’t collected in that area.

Ready to go
Let Vitiliglow™ dry completely before getting dressed and use your old towel to buff off any excess product if necessary. You may find it takes a few goes to get your application method just right and it’s taken me years of trial and error with every product under the sun to be able to apply it so easily. I apply Vitiliglow™ every day before work and can now do it really quickly, so with a bit of practice, you can be ‘patch free looking’ every day in under 10 minutes.

Vitiliglow in the sun
Although the weather hasn't been brilliant in the UK this summer, I'd like to direct you to my blog post about protecting your skin in the sun. As you all know, the de-pigmented skin is very sensitive and although Vitiliglow™ has SPF30 within it, I would still recommend using a high factor or total block sunscreen underneath (or on top) of Vitiliglow™ and keep out of the sun as much as you possibly can.

Thank you
I'd like to thank you all for your continued support and patience while I got the new formula of Vitiliglow™ right. As I've said before, all I want to do is help people with Vitiliglow to have a product that they can use to cover their patches if that's what they choose to do.  Everybody deserves to feel confident in their own skin, and whether that's showing off your patches with pride, or covering them up.  Please keep in touch via the Vitiliglow™ Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages and once again, thank you all for your continued support.

Best wishes
