16/3/2020 87 Comments The 11 VITILIGLOW® ShadesDo you know we now have 11 shades? All of which come in both cool and warm tones so everyone can find their perfect match. You can also add the Glow Light and Glow Dark Drops to your shade to make it slightly lighter or slightly darker depending on your skin. For example, my legs aren't as tanned as my arms, so I usually add one drop of Glow Light to my shade of VITLIGLOW® to make it a little bit lighter when applying it to my legs. We've had lots of customers asking about the 11 shades and what they look like on the skin, so we've created the following videos to help to see exactly what each shade looks like. You can also head over to the Shade Chart page on the website if you want to read more about each shade and see the online shade chart. When choosing a shade, step 1 is deciding the tone of the surface of your skin. Is it light, medium, tan, dark or ebony? Once you've made that decision, step 2 is to look at your skin's colour underneath the surface and decide whether the tone is cool (reds, pinks and blues) or warm (yellows, peaches and golds). That will lead you to your shade of VITILIGLOW® because each of the light, medium, dark and ebony shades comes in a Cool or Warm option. The 11 shades come in 30ml or 100ml bottles, so you can either buy a couple of options in the 30ml bottles or, once you're sure you've found your perfect match, stock up on some 100ml bottles. We also sell bundle deals if you really want to stock up! If you find that you need help to remove the VITILIGLOW® formula, remember that our Prep/Remover product is ideal for not only preparing your skin before you apply VITILIGLOW® by removing any impurities and oil, but it's also great for removing the formula when you’re ready to take it off. Simply use a cotton pad to wipe the Prep/Remover gel over your skin in small, circular motions, and this will start to dissolve the VITILIGLOW® formula. The gel will leave your skin feeling super soft and hydrated, too!
Once you’ve used our shade chart to choose your shade, head over to our online shop to purchase VITILIGLOW®. We ship worldwide, and if you're in Europe, you can visit www.vitiliglow.eu. Best wishes, Polly Founder of VITILIGLOW®

Mattel have launched a range of six new Barbie dolls including one with the skin condition vitiligo, another with no hair, and a doll with a prosthetic leg. Their aim is to better reflect today’s world and society through encouraging body positivity. Over the past few years, Mattel have incorporated a range of new dolls into their Barbie collection to be more diverse and inclusive. They now have nine body types, 35 skin tones and over 90 different hairstyles. Even Barbie’s commented on the new dolls using her official Instagram account, saying, “What makes us different makes us beautiful!” These updates to Mattel’s Barbie range show just how much vitiligo and other conditions have become far more recognised in recent years, and it’s an important step to celebrating an inclusive, diverse society where everyone feels accounted for! Mattel’s top 10 bestselling Barbie dolls last year, from their Fashionista range, included a doll in a wheelchair and a doll with an Afro hairstyle. Vitiligo advocate Joti told us more about just how important the vitiligo Barbie is as a step towards spreading awareness of the condition, which is slowly becoming more and more recognised in the media and all over the world. As Joti says in the video, “This is going to empower the young people of today and allow them to become more accepting, and to normalise this whole thing about people with disabilities and visual differences… I think, as a mother and a teacher that this is going to have a big, positive impact on young people today. Essentially, children learn through play, and when they’re learning through play, they’re getting an understanding of what things are about… when children are playing with Barbie dolls, it just becomes normal to them. A doll in a wheelchair becomes normal to them. And as they grow up, they start getting a better understanding that everybody might be different to them, but it’s OK!” I know only too well how different having vitiligo can make you feel, but introducing the vitiligo Barbie doll into the collection of Barbie toys is such a huge step and will help a wide range of children with skin conditions feel more included and raise awareness of disabilities and people with visual differences like vitiligo.
