Being in the den was a surreal experience, but once the panic subsided, I got into my stride and started telling the Dragons who I was and the reasons why I was there. Those of you that know me and who have been reading my blog for a while will know that VITILIGLOW™ is a real labour of love for me; I've turned having Vitiligo into something positive and I feel so strongly that people with the condition should have a good quality product to cover their patches evenly, if that’s what they choose to do.
Luckily, the Dragons saw this and I liked my honesty and passion for the product, which was what I wanted to achieve. Saying that, I wasn’t given an easy ride and I was asked lots of tricky questions. Luckily the prep I did paid off and I held my own. At one point I was so relaxed that I admitted that I forgot the reason why I was there! I’m now working on a new and improved formula with a better and more accurate application method. Finally, an alternative to fake tan :0 I really hope these products take off for you. One thing that would be amazing is a waterproof camoflage. I have always had to use a fake tan, but as soon as you go into the pool, it comes off. Is this something that you can look into? Hello Caroline, the new Vitiliglow formula is water resistant not water- proof. The skin needs to be able to breath so a completely water proof product would not be possible without causing harm to the skin. Unfortunately, swimming pools are highly chlorinated which acts as a bleach and this is why your fake tan fades. I would recommend a quick dip rather than long periods of time swimming. It's a real downside to having vitiligo I know - polly x

I have lived with vitiligo since I was 11, I am now 67. I have mostly just got by by ignoring it. Doctors are not interested. I wondered what you suggest for patches on my scalp. I do go out in the sun and I fancy sunshine can help. The patches do seem to get better and then new ones appear. Hello Lora, thank you for sharing your experience of vitiligo. I stay out of the sun as it makes my patches look worse as my pigmented skin tans quite easily. I would keep the patches on your scalp covered with a hat in the sun as the white patches have no protection against the suns harmful rays - polly x

Seeing your product on Dragon's Den was kind of a "FINALLY" moment for me! I'm mostly happy to live with my vitiligo as it is, it's on my hands, face and lower chest/waist area (which is always covered anyway, i'm not one for bikini's!) and it only really bothers me in the summer when it becomes more prominent. I stressed to a few commenters on twitter that I don't want to cover up because I care about others seeing my vitiligo, but more so to feel good in myself, and I probably wouldn't wear the product daily either. I am so happy to have found this product and will be getting my hands on some as soon as possible, good luck for your new partnership with Sarah! xx

Had vitiligo for over 30 years and have used various creams etc over the years but generally don't bother now - saw Dragons Den and thought I would give Vililiglo a go...it is basically a foundation and not a good one at that - for much less money I could have bought a superior foundation if I wanted to look like I had make up on - also it comes off on your clothes and the applicator leaks everywhere - nothing new and in fact overpriced and worse than alternatives - was worth a try but won't be getting again 19/8/2015 03:04:44 pm
Hi Paul, I'm sorry that you weren't satisfied with your purchase of Vitiliglow. I am aware that the original format had some issues with bottles leaking. The reason why I applied for investment was so that I could improve the packaging and application method. The new product will be available in an aerosol. I have also updated the formula so that it has better staying power, it will now have a fixing spray included within the product. Although I use it myself and it does last all day and stands up to a gym session, I also wanted to make sure it wouldn't rub off on clothes, which is why I've improved the formula. Hi I suffer really bad with Vitiligo, I spoke to your son by accident working in a pub in Greenwich I have since ordered 3 different shades on separate occasions trying to find the right shade, I find the product absolutely brilliant but I wish there could be a deal on buying ex amount of shades as I do think the postage is really steep and makes the product quite expensive, many thanks Ray
