I've been approached about an opportunity to talk about life with Vitiligo and I thought I'd open up the opportunity to others living with the condition to see if anyone else wants to get involved.
Award winning TV production company Hello Halo are working with the BBC to put together a show about living with Vitiligo. They are looking for people to talk about their experiences and put you in touch with each other so that you can support each other through the difficult times many of us face when living with Vitiligo.
Talking about your experiences with Vitiligo may not be your 'thing', but my personal view is that anything that can be done to raise awareness of the condition, so that we can take away the stigma and judgement that we can sometimes face, can only ever be a good thing. Whether you're happy to be in front of the camera or not, it's great that mainstream TV is starting to focus on this little known condition. If as a result of this show, one person feels better because they face less judgement, then it will have been really valuable.
If you live in the UK and have Vitiligo (or know somebody who has) then you might want to drop a line to the production company on firstname.lastname@example.org. The production company will have a confidential, initial chat with you about your experiences and they will take it from there.
If you do get in touch then I'd love to hear about how you get on - comment below or let me know what happens by messaging me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
And if you want to find out more about my experience on TV, have a read of my blog post about my time on Dragons' Den and when I appeared on a dating show with the unfortunate name 'Too Ugly For Love.
