I wanted to let you all know the latest news on all the exciting developments at Vitiliglow™ over the last few months. As you know, getting the raw materials to create the correct pigment for Vitiliglow™ has been a real challenge and we’ve had to source these from various suppliers across the world! But, I’m really pleased to say that despite the challenges we’ve faced, we now have the tan and medium shades available to order!
To order Vitiliglow™ in Tan:
If you want to order a 100ml bottle in the Tan shade then visit the Vitiliglow™ shop
If you want to order a 30ml bottle in the Tan shade then visit the Vitiliglow™ shop
To order Vitiliglow™ in Medium:
If you want to order a 100ml bottle in the Medium shade then visit the Vitiliglow™ shop
If you want to order a 30ml bottle in the Medium shade then visit the Vitiliglow™ shop
Why have we decided to do this? Well, although the feedback to the medium shade has been phenomenal (more on that later), some customers have said that the medium shade is a bit too light to match their pigmented skin. I always say that people need to play around with their Vitiliglow™ in order to get the correct shade for them. We’ve made Vitiliglow™ a really flexible product, so that you can mix and match the shades to allow you to create the best match possible.
In summer, my pigmented skin is darker than it is in winter, so I add more tan shade to my usual medium shade to allow me to get the colour I want. Also different parts of my body are darker than others. My arms are quite tanned so I mix half tan with half medium however my legs (which rarely see the light of day) are a lot paler so I mix a quarter of tan with three-quarters medium.
Smaller 30ml bottles give you the chance to give Vitiliglow™ a try before investing in a full 100ml bottle. It’s also great for carrying round in your bag or popping in your pocket should you need to top up during the day – plus it’s under the liquid allowance if you’re travelling abroad with hand luggage. Many of the other products I’ve tried over the last 20 years give a really small amount of liquid (especially for the big price tag) so I always wanted to create a product that gives people value for their money and that’s why we’ve developed 100ml and 30ml options – to give people greater choice.
I’m currently working with the supplier on ‘Vitiliglow™ Intense Pigment Drops’ which can be added to any of the pre-mixed Vitiliglow™ shades to boost the intensity of colour so you can have a ‘tailor made’ shade of your own. Keep an eye out on my blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to find out when these will be available.
The new formula Vitiliglow™ was launched in August and I’ve had some great feedback from lots of you and I wanted to share a couple of stories here:

Hi Everyone I've been approached about an opportunity to talk about life with Vitiligo and I thought I'd open up the opportunity to others living with the condition to see if anyone else wants to get involved.
Award winning TV production company Hello Halo are working with the BBC to put together a show about living with Vitiligo. They are looking for people to talk about their experiences and put you in touch with each other so that you can support each other through the difficult times many of us face when living with Vitiligo.
Talking about your experiences with Vitiligo may not be your 'thing', but my personal view is that anything that can be done to raise awareness of the condition, so that we can take away the stigma and judgement that we can sometimes face, can only ever be a good thing. Whether you're happy to be in front of the camera or not, it's great that mainstream TV is starting to focus on this little known condition. If as a result of this show, one person feels better because they face less judgement, then it will have been really valuable.
If you live in the UK and have Vitiligo (or know somebody who has) then you might want to drop a line to the production company on firstname.lastname@example.org. The production company will have a confidential, initial chat with you about your experiences and they will take it from there.
If you do get in touch then I'd love to hear about how you get on - comment below or let me know what happens by messaging me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
And if you want to find out more about my experience on TV, have a read of my blog post about my time on Dragons' Den and when I appeared on a dating show with the unfortunate name 'Too Ugly For Love.
