Well, World Vitiligo Day is almost here again; it’s taking place on Saturday 25th June again and #WorldVitiligoDay is continuing its drive to raise awareness of Vitiligo and to reduce the stigma that can sometimes be associated with it. If you would like more information about WVD and the petition they are running, you may want to take a look at their website. If you’re based in the UK, the Vitiligo Society are hosting a charity walk on Saturday 25th June near Hampton Court. Please check out their web page for more information.
I wanted to reflect on the 12 months since the last WVD blog post I wrote (which includes lots of information about the history of WVD), especially given the journey I have been on to deliver a product that we can finally call our own. Since Dragons’ Den aired in August last year, I have been working frantically with my supplier to deliver the product and although I am beyond excited about the new formula (it’s incredible) we have had numerous problems bottling it and I have had to re-think my dream of it being in a non-gas aerosol. I think everyone just wants a product that makes them feel good in their own skin again, and despite all the problems I’ve faced, I still want to be able to deliver this dream.
During the last 12 months, I have spent a lot of time with budding entrepreneurs who have been inspired by my story to take a problem and create a solution for it. I would like to say that it has been the hardest 12 months of my life, but the support I have had from you all on has literally given me the courage to keep going, so that we can have the product we all need and deserve. So, for everybody that has posted on my Facebook page, Tweeted me or emailed me to explain how you feel about your Vitiligo, I’d like to say thank you for bearing with me and I’m really looking forward to being able to send out all your orders in time for you to enjoy flawless skin this summer. If you haven’t joined Vitiliglow™ on social media, please feel free to come and say hi on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I post all of my news and updates on these sites so it’s a great way of keeping up to date with all the Vitiliglow™ news.
Ps. If you have pre-ordered, I will send you an email to let you know when it’s time to confirm and pay for your order. If you would still like to pre-order, please complete the contact form here.
